Blinking Headlights
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:26:30 am »
This is turning into a nightmare. I hop in the 74 to go to work yesterday morning and warm it up. About 2 minutes later my headlights start flashing on and off. I grabbed my drop light and check the grounds and all was well. I had a spare dimmer switch so I swap that in, still has the same problem. Had to take the girlfriends mustang to work.
I got home from work yesterday and got back into the dash, I can't find any shorted wires, and I replaced a butt connector for the hot wire going into the switch, still doing it.

Anybody had this issue before? I'm at my wit's end with this electrical nonsense. I love building from scratch, I hate fixing other peoples ignorance.

Now I really feel like a tool, the breakers are on the back side of the fuse block right? Maybe its just sleep deprevation thats making me ask this innane question but I haven't gotten to do anything but work and sleep all week. I'm getting off work in about an hour and a half and should be getting home to play with the truck shortly after.

My owners manual says the circuit breaker is on the headlight switch.
