hey can anyone help me with getting rid of my hideous mirrors on the doors?  i can put on a pair of stainless steel aftermarket littler ones like on the 80's models but what is your best idea to hide the holes its gonna leave on the doors?  want it to look nice and not just crappy cover on the holes...what do you guys do?

Only way to cover the holes in my opinion is weld them up and paint them.

Not much to weld the holes, but a body shop will try to talk you into sanding, throwing in some bondo, more sanding, etc. They wont be able to match paint because of fade.

the paint has died and gone to heaven along time ago.  i can do the filler and sanding but dont have the equipment to weld so maybe it will be pretty cheap then huh?

well i found a new truck for sale today. what do you guys think would you keep old green or get the new one? check it out on this link. http://portland.craigslist.org/nco/cto/1468748695.html
it is a diesel so the gas mileage would be cool plus i dont like my truck being jacked up with huge tires. what would you guys do?

I personally like ol green but its up to you man. With the money you use on that 1 pictured you can fix your mirror problem and put a decent paint job on the truck for the price of the truck your looking at...

Just my opinon though..
