non tilt to tilt column conversion-is it hard?
« on: December 22, 2009, 12:56:32 am »
My 76 3/4 ton that I bought has a broken signal lever so i can't use signal lights. It doesn't have a tilt column so instead of taking it apart i just wanted to swap in a tilt column. Just wondering how hard it is to change columns and what i need to do.
Thanks

not hard at all take the steering shaft bolt out "note: you have to have the same style they changed up in 76-78 i think. if you cant find on that has the clamp style that you have then you can use the bolt type but you have to take the intermediate shaft in between the column and steering pump" panel under the steering column wire harness on the column and shifting thing then you have about 4 bolts/nuts to take off the,
