Glovebox Adjust
« on: December 25, 2009, 11:19:56 pm »
i was recently at a junkyard in a 86 suburban pulling the entire wiring harness for my dads 51 truck(the best i can find up here and its really good shape). When i was working around alot of stuff i noticed the glovebox shut with the lightest of pressure.

i didnt have time to look into it, but mine take at least a whole arms push to get er closed, is there a better way to have it in there?

the screws in the bottom bit into the metal of the dash bit dont seem to grab the plastic of the glovebox, are they possibly pushing back on the plastic to stop it closing?

it feels odd that a junkyard truck works better then mine (lol).

Are you having to push hard on it to get it to latch?  If so I would question the latching mechanism.  About the only adjustment you have it the bar on the metal dash.
