Does anyone have a picture of how a dash cover looks installed? I have a '74 if that makes a difference..

this is a cap i got out of the junk yard. i took it to a stereo shop and had the guy put the carpet they use on speaker boxes over it. then i used adhesive to glue this over the original dash. turned out to look good i think. but this is a cap (hard plastic) piece over top of an original dash. not bad for 15 bucks plus 20 for the stereo shop guy. those caps actually fit really good as long as your not just wanting to slip it over. you need to use the adhesive to glue it down good. just my 2 cents

yea it was a try it out and see if i like it kinda deal. someday i'll bite the bullet and just get a new dash but they are pretty costly...this will do for now but as for fit the dash caps work good if you adhesive them down
