did you use the same year or round about year for the power steering bracket?

Around the same year I put a 1979 305 in, but the 350 was not the original motor. It was a diesel.

when i pulled my motor out of my 86 and dropped it in my 79 i had to swap all the brackets they are two totally diffrent types and i was in a hurry, even had to put a belt on that wasn't supposed to be on just to make it work lol. the pumps wont switch out eather due to the diffrent flanges on the hoses "tried that" you could custom make some, i really don't know what to tell you maybe someone else would be able to help.

Are you trying to use Diesel brackets on your 305?

thank you and i am not sure because i bought the truck for 400 dollars and the 350 was bad (spun rod bearings due to low oil) I got most of the brackets from the other guy when i bought the 305.
