Full length headers question...
« on: January 11, 2010, 12:52:39 pm »
So Im thinking of using a set of thesehttp://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9006/Application/?query=Year%7c1987%7cMake%7cCHEVROLET%7cModel%7cR10+PICKUP%7cEngine+Size%7c5.7L%2f350 for my 87 R10 w/ 5.7 350. It has a/c and an automatic tranny. What all will I need to make this work? Is this a good set for my app? Do I need the bracket for the alternator or the compressor??

Thanks in advance.

For long term, I think you will be disappointed by those.  For most headers you need to fab a bracket for the alternator mount.

Quality ceramic coated headers are worth it if you want them to still look good and not leak two years down the road.
