New guy from Oklahoma
« on: January 20, 2010, 12:26:31 am »
Hi everyone my name is Chance im 24, I joined because I recently picked up a 1980 Chevy 2wd longbed. I had a 79 long bed in High School it was Blue and white has a 350 with a small comp cam and edebrock intake and carb. Ive been out of the truck scene for while now, I got into Mustangs and that was the end of the trucks, I recently (well I say redently it was a year ago) sold my Fox mustang it was my baby, I built a 331 stroker with Canfield heads, Custom solid roller cam, Victor Jr intake and a Holley 780 Carb, it made 399rwhp 363rwtq All motor. like an idiot i sold it before i got the nitrous hooked up.

My plans for the 80 are to Cut the frame and make it a short bed, put a 3/5 lowring kit, wheels and tires, either rebuild the 350 thats in it to do an LSX swap. mainly worried about gettin it cut  and lowered right now so if anyone can help me out with some links or write ups on the process Id appreciate it.

Welcome!  I can relate about you liking Mustangs.  I've had 6 of the 65-68 'stangs prior to my acquiring a '79 Chevy Big 10 pickup, that I put a 383 stroker in. I still have a couple of '65 stangs, including a 65 GT Convertible I got 20 yrs ago from the original owner.
