Wiring harness
« on: January 20, 2010, 04:56:29 pm »
Hi,Is the wiring harness that runs the length of the steering column to the firewall available as a new part or would i need to find a good used item.
Problem is someone has chopped the ignition wires and fitted a push button starter to the dash, all this cause of a faulty ignition switch.I was gonna link the cuts back up but they have been cut short and i dont want any joins for obvious reasons..... ;)
Thanks...Dave.

They have a dash harness that is $425 + shipping.  I can have them ship it.  It can go US priority (cheaper, but will potentially be in customs for 7 days) or UPS more expensive but may be in customs less.

Well it looks like i wont be needing it chris as i just this afternoon picked up a tilt column with the wiring intact and in good condition complete with steering wheel etc,a friend of mine popped by in his 58' Olds Rocket 88 and mentioned he had just broke up a 79' suburban...total cost £20 which to me is a steal.
Many thanks for your help on the above,i appreciate it... ;)
