drop coil springs

I have a set of drop coil springs i want to put on my 86 c10. do u need to install lowering shocks or can u just use factory style shocks
1986 C10 355Ci/TH350/2 inch drop/275/60/15 cooper cobra Tires/flat black w/pinstriping- sold

1984 K10 Silverado 305Ci/Th350/6 inch all spring lift/33/12.5/15 interco Trxus MT Tires/factory red and white-Daily Driver

How much drop?  If it is more than 1-1.5" I would get more shocks.  as in 3" drop, definitely.

i belive its like a 2-3 inch drop the are ground for coil springs

I used 2" drop springs on mine with stock shocks without a problem.
