i saw that on tv yesterday.  The tv reporter asked him if he could do it again, but with eyes from same distance.  The coach said, no, i dont want to try it again--but he gave in.  With cameras rolling, the coach did it again without the blindfold. 

he played college ball.

What I found sad was the kids promised him tickets to the final four if he made it (they didnt think he had a chance) well they dont have the tickets..
