bonanza
« on: January 30, 2010, 03:01:26 pm »

anybody ever see these bonanza trucks?  i see a lot of silverado, scottsdale, and custom delux pickups but i've never seen another one of these.  the parts catalogs don't sell the fender emblem or dash insert emblems..its pretty well equiped with cruise control, and ac.  its 4x4.  just seeing if anybody knows what i got here.  any info on the bonanza's would be great.

thanks for the info guys.  from reading stuff it sounds like chevy used the bonanza package to try and make some trucks "seem a little different"  at the end of the year to sell a few more models to people waiting for the next year to come out.  anyways i think the truck is cool and thats what matters most right?  my bonanza has no rust in the rockers, floors, or cab corners so its solid anyway.  gonna keep her around for awhile.  another question for people on this forum.  someone along the line has converted my k10 full time 4x4 to part time with locking warn hubs.  my 4x4 works great (tested on some recent snow)  but.....when i try to move the shifter in the cab it only goes forward or back.  there is only two options.  on my old 76 it had 4lo, 4hig, nuetral, and 2 hi.  this truck just seems to either have 4 wheel or 2 wheel.  is this normal?  thanks for all the input guys

If yours was fulltime, typically your only time you will be in 2WD only is in Hi with the hubs unlocked, if they are locked you will only have 4WD
The shift pattern on a fulltime has 5 locations:
Low Loc
Low
N
HI
Hi Loc
