I have used Kirker in the past. It doesn't hold up over time. A couple years down the road it checked and chalked.

Darn, I kinda had my eye on kirker single stage.  I had heard bad things before, so I wasn't sure.  Blazin, you like Nason and Omni?  Do you lean toward one or the other for a budget paint job that still needs to last ten years?  When I briefly worked in auto body, the pros I worked with always bought Dupont for some reason???  Is Dupont worth the money compared to their budget Nason line?

Nason is actually made by dupont.I used nason for awhile and it is good paint.I sprayed a cougar i once owned in kirker single stage blue metallic.Came out really nice. But i would prefer nason to use for single stage paint.

thanks

I am a Dupont man, so the Nason is more like Centari etc. I worked for a guy years back that swore by PPG single stage. I never thought it had the pop Centari with 793 hardener had. That being said the Omi acrylic enamel on my 55 is holding up pretty well for a quickie spray job. It wasn't to bad to use either. I added flattening agent to it as I wanted it more of a satin finish. either of them will be good for what you are looking at doing. A budget job probably won't last ten years!!

I just bought a gallon of paint and a gallon of clear for my mutt today. $425 but it's worth it.
