« on: February 19, 2010, 07:29:16 PM »
recently replaced neutral safety switch that was broke in my '85 truck. the oringinal switch one 2-spade connection went to local chevy dealership and obtained delco #15705308 which had two more connection than orginal. i informed them that old switch had one connection and they stated that the switch they sold me replaced old part #. installed switch and now backup lights don't work and they did before replacement. went back to different dealer and they called someone at gm. they said needed two elec. connectors gm#s
12117380 and 12101903 but they could not tell me what to connect these to. please help, hoping someone else has run into this situation. wish i could find switch like orginal.

I would try to wire the other two connections together, at worst it might bypass the switch. Just test everything when you sre done and undo it if it doesn't work. I'm not saying this will work but it is what I would try.
