OK thinking about swapping out my 203 for the 205 the 203 has ubolt style flange at the case while the 205 has the circle and since i broke 2 and the bolts are giving me heck i want to swap them out my question is both are comming off a 465 will anything need to bee done to the 203's rear drive shaft to make it fit for the 205? the 205 is out of a blazer so using that shaft is out of the question. cant remember what the 205 had but mine (203)is a slip shaft and the 205 might be a slip yoke could that cause a problem? or would it just be easer to swap the whole tranys out

should have a flange bolted to the output of the 205 and theres a deal that bolts to the flange for your driveshaft. I think you can get them at ORD, or other 4x4 parts houses.

this is what i found out in my journey today. the 10 spline flange is pre 77 and the 32-30 is post 77, so i have a pre 77 and every transfercase i had laying around and my buddy also was post 77 with the round flange you can take a 208 and swap the flange with a 205 and 203 as long as its the same spline count, but from what i understand the ubolt type flange that i have is also a pre 77 and once they swapped over to the post 77 style they did away with the u bolt type.

Spicer still makes the flanges and yokes, I had to get new yokes when I swapped in a 205. Most driveshaft shops can get them for you.
