dual tank question
« on: March 15, 2010, 05:16:54 pm »
Hey, I have been lurking and now am making my first post.  I have a '87 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive that was diesel, seized and was replaced with a carbed 305, all before I bought it.  I hope to replace the 305 in the future.  I have been using the advice already posted in the forum for repairs already.
My question is that I am replacing one of the tanks and while I have it out is it OK to run the truck on the other tank?  The fuel lines to the tank are not connected to anything right now for the tank that is out.

Thanks in advance.

plug the end of the lines that are not connected to anything and run it.    only reason i say this is when i had one of my tanks out and i ran the truck with the lines disconnected, the return line would spit some fuel out.   not sure why, may have just been my truck!
