8 foot vs 6 ft bed. .. measurments

Is the passenger side, outer skin section, .... from behind gas fill door, to the front of bed, ....the same length, on 6 and 8 foot beds? I need to replace that section on my 8 foot bed,  and wondering if a 6 foot could be a donor?  Thanks

you should be able to make it work, that is where the length was added in front.
