Front suspension advice

Well got my ball joints and tie rods off drivers side finally.
Got all new TRW parts to go in
Should I do my control arm bushings??
They are orginal
If I do what should I go with?
Worried about spacers and such for upper and shafts...
do I need to go new shafts?
Control arm bushings seem pretty solid but are of course old and cracked.

I use PST for all my frontend stuff.  There is an article that I posted from Jeffs site on doing the bushings yourself.
As far as replacing it would require you finding out if anything is wrong with the current pieces.

Got everything loose and free but the coil spring will
not come out! Is it just sitting in there or is it attached
to the top?? I thought it would just fall out on its own.
Any help or ideas or should I just pound it with a BFH

Been doing alot of reading on poly vs rubber bushings.
Like anything else there is lots of different views....
but I'm thinking OE is the way to go. If its lasted 25 years it must be
working.
Still not sure I want to get into replacing my bushings.Everything is apart(BJ,tie rods,etc)
and there is no 'play' of anykind with the control arms
Is there something special I should be checking for?

You have to get the lower control arm out of the way, the factory spring is fairly long.

Yeah figured that out ! Was not using my brain

Think I'm going to leave the control arms on and get things
back together

I left my bushings alone. I did replace just about everything else and my steering is great. So I am sure you'll be good to go either way unless they are obviously worn.

Thanks , I am going to do the same. I think my new sway bar will help this as well and the new ball joints and tie rods
