Best place/deal on Swampers?
« on: March 29, 2010, 10:25:10 pm »
Yep... my Boggers are wearing down and I need to get new tires.  I love the Boggers but right now I want to go with a tread design that will give me a few more miles... I've had good luck with Swampers and like the look, I'm open to Ground Hawgs too, I've heard they run out as long or longer than Swampers.

I'm running 35" now and think I can fit 37's

When I build my new truck I'm going with the bigger is better philosophy and also building a 3/4 ton for the longer wheelbase so I can run a divorced transmission and transfercase for great lift.

Anyway, anyone have any opinions on on best deal on tires?

Last time I bought 44" Tires I bought them at Les Schwab in Oregon, (twice), and a set of 36" Swampers for long long distance runs, (deer hunting trips, etc.)

Kind of need to buy where I can also get them mounted and balanced.

Here's the set I'm looking at...

16/38.5-16.5LT Super Swamper TSL Bias

14/35-16.5LT, Ground Hawg Bias

Also, a few years ago I asked on this forum about a place to get old school aluminum slotted mags, does anyone know of such a wheel supplier?

Need 12" wide I think for the big tires...

:)
