the G80 option is limited slip. if your main drive wheel looses traction (as in driving in snow) the limited slip will transfer torque to your other rear wheel. this really helps when driving on slippery roads. you can find a lot more info about your rear differential at Randy's Ring & pinion, you can find them with a google search. another option is to just add disk brakes to your current axle. that's what we did to out 85k10.
