87 AC removal

the AC in my 87 is shot so i was going to remove all the components. is there anything in particular i need to be aware of or do before i start cutting and unbolting?

Do yourself a favor and dont remove it.  If you're tight on cash just leave it alone until you have the funds to fix it.  There is nothing like having working AC.  Especially if you have to sell it because a working AC system will really add to the value of these trucks.
