Sometimes the glass on these old trucks tends to show its age. You get the little fine scratches, small pits, and those... well I don't know what to call them other than "age streaks". Where you can see some kind of streaks in the glass, but they don't come out with cleaning. You might even get some spots where you can tell that a previous owner didn't change the windshield wiper blades when they should have. That tends to leave a nice little path in the windshield glass.
I am thinking that with some polishing compound and a buffer, perhaps most of these little imperfections could just be buffed right out. Well maybe not the typical polishing compound, but something made for glass. Anyone here ever done this? And if so, what kind of results did you get? And how long did it take to get the scratch out? Which compound should I use?
