some of those pictures are pretty sad--those of the landing craft the morning of and the paratroopers on the way over the morning of, simply because so many never made it back.

Thanks for posting, I sent the link to an old family friend I have know since I was 8 years old. He was born in the mid 20's, I'm sure he knows the real story.
