Hello,
My name is JC, I recently picked up a 1987 R-10 SWB with the 350 TBI. I've been going through it fixing all the little things that the kid before me didn't. I'm finding he didn't have any idea about this truck. I've been finding things not working that fixing is just as simple as hooking up wiring and as simple as plugging in a plug, crazy? Anyways, things are going well but I do have some questions. I will search for some solutions to my question and if I can't find the solutions I will start a thread.
Here is a quick pic,
I look forward to meeting and talking with everyone,

Thanks everyone. Funny story, just as I orinally posted the kid had no idea about the truck. These forums are great b/c the great knowledge shared by the knowing. I stated I had some q's but woulds search first before I asked. Well, I found what I needed. I was having issues with my temp ga. so I relaced the sending unit on the t-stat (wrong one I know now) still didn't work. So, I replaced the gauge. No prob right? Well, still didn't work. Well after reading threads found the temp ga. sending unit is between plug 1 & 2 on the drivers side. Went and looked and sure enough it was there, but no wire hooked up or even dangling? Came back and read more threads to figure out what color the wire would be and sure enough found one. A fellow member talked about finding his wire tucked on his tranny sitting in some oil, but he didn't say the color if the wire. Well, I found the color in another thread posted by another member. So, I went out to my truck at 12am with my flashlight and got under my truck. I saw a green wire poking out of a sleeve but I couldn't reach it from under the truck. So, I got up on the motor and found the same green wire. I pulled lightly on it and it started giving some slack. Low and behold it pulled out long enough to reach the front of the drivers side head and still had the clip on the end. I clipped it in and started my truck and BAM the gauge was working. Now, back to my original post. This kid didn't have any clue about this truck and I'm benefiting from it nicely.

Cool story and I agree the guys on this site extremely knowledgeable and you will learn much from them. All except for that "Grover" guy he's as dumb as a box of rocks.
