My 84 GMC and my BMW
« on: May 26, 2010, 02:15:41 pm »
I just drove my 84 GMC from NYC back to our house in Virginia. I took this after I cleaned it up.  The BMW is my daily driver.

Nice.  The E39 is my all time favorite Bimmer.  The 5-series got so UGLY after that generation.  If I could find one in good shape (and afford it), I'd still like to own an E39 M5 someday.  I really don't like the direction BMW (as well as most other high-end manufacturers) is moving with their cars.  Too technical, over-complicated, and, in the end, ridiculous.  I've driven my mom's 2009 335i on a few occasions and I hate it.

Nice rides, but what's under the car cover???

Sorry for the thread revival after so long but I just noticed your post.  The cover is protecting my 1960 Impala. It's an original 348 tri-power with 3 on the tree.  I took this picture a couple of years ago at my dads house.  My 60 is the one in the middle, the 2 59's are my dads.  He has a 2dr 348 with a/c that he has restored, and a 4dr 283 turboglide survivor that just needed some touching up.

WOW!!!  Nice cars!!!  Those are my favorite years.

If they would've just put the 59 front with the 60 rear  8)...

Keep it nice so your little buddy there can inherit it when you are through with it ;)
