You guys are like a second family to me. Just wanted to let you all know I lost a young man in my life early this morning to a car wreck. Not sure on the details, he was not a drinker / partier. It happend right in front of a friend of his house.
He was 19 years old, his name was Ryan, he was a great kid, would never have hurt a soul, hard worker, a good friend. At one point last fall before Thanksgiving I thought if things worked out he could possibly end up being a step son. I have thought of him as a son for several years, even before I dated his mother. His younger and older brothers have grown close to me as well in the last year, and a half or so as well.
I am not impressed with the selection process, have lost so many great young guys in our area in the last 6 or 7 years. I would never wish it on anyone or their families, but why isn't it the ones that are destined to become a drain on society? Seems as though its the hard working ones with a heart of gold!
