Glue for heater pieces?

Hi all, I am cleaning out a years worth of mouse nests out of my heater and replacing the heater core. In tearing the box apart I broke a tab off the bottom of the plastic door while trying to get the metal rod pulled out of it. Does anybody know what kind of material its made of and is there any glue that I might use to repair it? This is on my 87 burb thats been in the family for 21 years.

I have used "Plastic Welder" from AutoZone that works pretty good on most types of plastic. It's just a plastic epoxy that comes in a dual tube dispensor. Around 5$.

Are you talking about the white plasic piece (with nail like pin holding it in place) on the door? If it is available aftermarket I recently got one myself they are prone to breaking. Just remove the nail pin and replace it with new plastic piece.
Btw it is cheap too.

Well the plastic welder did the trick. Hogdaddy, what do you call that white plastic piece and where exactly did you get it from? That wasn't the piece that was broken but I think I need to replace that piece too.

When I replaced my heater core I broke this piece cause I didn't remove it correctly via the nail pin first to open the heater box and get at the heater core itself. So I ended up doing it the right way after I broke it. I just carefully squeezed the pin out with a pair of pliers and re-installed the new piece by squeezing it back in place with pliers.
