Heatercore removel with a/c

Does anybody have pics on removing the heatercore on a 79 chevy with a/c? Thanks.

No pics, but I have an AC 79 so Ill try to walk you through it. OK obviously drain the coolant and disconnect the hoses. Unscrew all the bolts and nuts holding the two boxes together. They sandwich the firewall. Inside, take off the glovebox and then the box should come off. Be careful and tilt it backwards a little so coolant doesnt spill out of the core. It will anyways so maybe place a rag down on the floor. Disconnect the vacuum lines and linkage cables, remembering where they came from. Once the box is free, do what you wish. I guess it would be to take the core off. 4 screws hold the two spring plates in place, in turn, holding the heater core.

you'll have to loosen the inner fender to get to the bottom two nuts that hold the heater box in. They're under the A/C box on the firewall. be careful with the vacuum tubes when you pull the box out, they might be brittle.

I forgot to mention that. I already had my inner fenders out for awhile and I have the AC delete box so I can see how the AC element can be in the way.

is there anyway to get a diagram or layout of the vacuum lines?

about the vaccumm lines diagram:

 I haven't found one that's hugely helpful regarding this situation. There are two vacuum lines that I remember. From inside, there should be one on the back of the box directly in the center. There is also one on the left end of the box. You have to remove the metal clip and then slide the line off the little metal tube. You should be fine, just pay attention and take it slow, don't go jerking the box out in frustration, lol.

I remember the same with birdy411, one vacuum line on the left end of box is between the ash tray and gas pedal.  Another vacuum line is in the center of the box.
