Hey I'm a newb

Hello Everyone, new to the forum also new to the old Chevy world, just bought A 76 Chev long box 4x4 that needs a little work, looking to see if it is possible to take it from a 4 speed manual to a Automatic, and  have to do something about the Transfer case cause its always in 4 wheel drive. Any way I imagine there is lots of knowlage on this forum look foward to talking to you guys, I'm from Alberta Canada

welcome to the site.  You definitely can swap to an auto.  I would find a matching transmission transfer case setup to swap to make is simpler.  If you have a fulltime 4x4 tcase you can add a kit to make it part time.

Yeah I have been reading lots about making my tcase not a full time 4x4 but before I spend any money i am trying to decide if I should switch it to a  auto or not
