89 Suburban Doors on a 88 Crew Cab

I have an 88 Chevy Crew Cab dually and I really want to replace the doors, with some rust free ones... I have a guy selling me a set of 4 for $200, rust free, interior panels are good, and they are power windows and mirrors. This set is out of a 89 Suburban, are these going to fit into my truck, without modifications? If so how hard is it going to be to wire them without existing wiring? Please help, don't want to let a good deal get away....

I used suburban doors on my dually they are exactly the same, but just like you have lined up they were power while my dually was not. I am not a big fan of power windows in these trucks so I opted to remove all of the power regulators and replace them with the non power ones from the dually. It took me a few days and some frustration but I am glad I swapped them out to save the hassel of wiring them in.
I think I have photo's of the swap on my Webshots

Can you get the wire harness from the burb? Its a separate wire harness that runs through the door jamb and into the cab. It runs to the fuse panel, and plugs in. The hardest part of making your truck power is drilling the three holes in each door jamb.

I am afraid not, I am going to hold off on the doors for now, until anyone can tell me how hard it would be to wire them in. Does $200 for a set of 4 doors with no rust sound too bad?

You just need the harness (wire, switches, and relays). There's little dimples in the sheet metal on the jamb and doors where the holes are to be drilled. If you want power, it's a simple plugin. If not, well, it's easy enough to bolt your regulators in. If all you have to do is paint, that's a good price.

The doors have the harness (wires) coming out of the front of the door. How hard is it from there, do I have to wire from the main wiring harness to the doors?

On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest. Its about a 4.
Very simple, drill the holes, The door jambs are allready dimpled for the position of the screw holes that hold the flex boots in place. Run the wires through into the cab, run them with the other under dash harness, And plug it in to the front of the fuse box.
I am 99 percent sure you could get the harness in the junk yard. I am almost positive its available new as well.

$200 is a steal for a set of 4 good solid GM Doors.
GM sheetmetal went through the roof about 10 years ago.
I think now even the aftermarket rear doors for a suburban/crewcab are about $600 each. I would grab those doors in a heartbeat. Personally I love the look of those power mirrors on our trucks.
Like Blazin said, the main wiring harness should be easy enough to find in the junkyard. The tough part may be finding the wiring harness for the power mirrors. They are somewhat rare. I've seen them in the boneyard, but not that often.

You never know, the wiring may already be in your truck, if they did anything back then like they do these days....they may have used the same chassis harnesses Cheyenne to Silvarado.

If it didn't come with power from the factory the wiring won't be there.
