rim question
« on: August 11, 2010, 03:49:32 pm »
we have now on the truck weld prostars the front rims have the wrong back spaceing and they rub the control arms.

we are in the process of  cutting the rear wheel wells and  makin them wider.  gunna try  fitting a 325 on the rear with a stock length rearend.  i talked to a guy at jegs and he said  he can get a  15x10 rear tire. but  cant get anything  skinnier than that for  5x5 pattern.  does anyone know where i can get a 5x5 front rim for  the truck. like 3.5 or 4 inches wide.

or is there a spindle swap we could do off like a  chevelle or gbody?

thanks ahead of time guys.

A 325 will fit the stock rearend fine.
I don't think you can get Prostars in anything bigger than 4.75" bolt pattern

i guess at one time they made  5 on 5 prostars. because that is what is on the truck now. i talked to a guy at jegs and he said he can get pretty much any weld wheel  with a 5x5 pattern. but  15x10  is the smallest width  they come in. so getting front  rims is the prob.  does anyone know if  we can maybe re drill  the holes for the front?  or swap spendles?

also looking to keep 15 in rim in the front. maybe goin with a 16  to  give the front wheel well a little more rim.
