sending unit

I just switched my tank from the left side to the right side. I read that the sending units are different. Mine dropped right in. I had to fool with it a bit. Is this anything i have to worry about. i just put my cab on and really don't want to change it now. I switched sides because i went from a fleet side to step side and the holes for the filler where different

It will fit in there fine, it just won't face the correct direction (towards the frame)
