strange gas tank problem
« on: August 28, 2010, 01:38:31 pm »
I don't drive my truck much in winter so ran the passenger tank to empty so i only have one tank of gas to worry about. This spring I switched to the passenger tank to see the fuel level and it had 3/4 tank.SO i thought the sending unit was bad.Now it reads full, so I checked the tank for gas and it was full.I pumped it out but I can't figure how gas is going from the drivers side to the passenger side.Help please.

Not so strange... Sometimes when the switch over valve starts to go bad the return line back from the fuel pump should go into the side you are switched to but it goes into the other tank, had that happen to me....

It all makes sence now.I guess I'll put so gas dry in and octane booster and just use it.
