Are you talking bass lake just below Shingle Springs ?

Bake74: I wouldnt call it "just below", unless there is another one. I am talking about the one next to Oakhurst on Hwy 41, between Fresno and Yosemite.

Sorry beastie, there is a Bass Lake up north here also, but it is million dollar plus homes. Was just surprised if it was the same and they even allowed off road there. Thanks for the correction.....Tom

ya bass lake is great for wheeling..... if you are a local you hit all the trails by the end of your junior year... all of our party spots...... if you guys ever are in the area definitely hit miami trails and shuteye peak by central camp..... two pretty BA trails

keep going up beasore road and when you get to the fork make a right and keep following it till you see central camp. trail is up the road a ways but its marked..... like another hour through beasore meadows past Jones' Store.

The farthest I have ever been was to a little "town" I guess. Dont remember the name, but there were a few small buildings. Dont know if it was off the main road or not. My mom and her bf are into jeep wheeling and tour the US south west. They also hit a bunch of trails locally when they are home.
