Door advice

I'm close to the point of having to do something about my doors.  Both of them would need a new door skin and either a door bottom welded on or extensive patch work on the door bottom.  The seals are all shot.  I already bought an aftermarket door shell for the driver's side, but I'm wondering if that was really the right move.  I've visited a couple of junkyards over the past few days and haven't found a pristine door, just some that need less work than mine.  I'm willing to pay the price for all new seals and another new door shell, but was wondering what other's experiences have been.  I'm a little concerned that after I spend all the money for seals I'll spend so much time trying to get cheap aftermarket doors to work I would have been better off to keep searching for a used one that may not even need new seals.  It just seems like that's a needle in a haystack...is it?

I just had the same thoughts as you, I went and bought the aftermarket door and I will say this ..... THEY ARE JUNK and there is no other way to say it. Do your best to find a used one. Save your self the headache.

Junkyard.  any doors from 78-91 on blazers burbans and 78-87 on pickups will work fine.

I'm sure you guys are right, but I'm having a hard time finding anything decent.  I think these doors are a hot commodity and get stripped off pretty fast if they are worth using.  I guess I'll keep looking.  If I elongate the holes on the aftermarket door so things fit together, what else am I going to run into that will make me regret using it?

the main problem I have found with aftermarket doors is when you get the door setup so it looks good from the outside, at the bottom where the door hits the door seal, there's like a 1" too big gap.   I had that problem on my 77 and 87.
