question about a friend

Had one on my palm near the heal of my hand when I was a kid. It was there for a long time, tried compound W, and it would make it smaller but never got rid of it. I can remember this still today. One day at school I was bitting it off, I ripped it up out of my hand, the roots were no lie about two inches long. I could feel them pull out of the center of my hand!!! It was nasty looking! Yeah it was bloody. Had to go to the office, and have it wrapped up. Three room school, two grades per room, the office lady was also the nurse. It never came back!
 I have one on the web between the thumb and index finger on the palm side now that has been there for years. I bite, or cut the top of that one off all the time. I tried compound W, and that home freeze stuff. Didn't seem to work.

The smell of burning flesh is enough to make you puke by itself. 

reminds me of when i had lasik surgery---smelling one's cornea being lazer burned and seeing it smoke isn't fun.

Oh Yeah, you have to remain awake and alert during the procedure so that you can focus on a little red light.  If you move your eye and focus on something else, well, let's just say it wouldn't be good.

Which is why I will probably NEVER have Lasik.  I have a "thing" about my eyes.  I can put hard contacts in and touch them, but there is NO WAY I could be awake for that.  My friend had it done and she about freaked me out when she was describing it.  In addition we were watching Saw I while she is describing it and now I think of that everytime I see that movie.

I would have to show up at the eye doctor and the crack me on the back of the head and knock me out cold put me on the table and then get the surgery done...  I can't even stand optometrist touching my eyelids..

There's a reason they give you valium when having the procedure....to calm the nerves. 
I actually would recommend lasik to anyone w/ bad eyesight.  I went from 20/400, where I couldn't even count the fingers on my outstretched hand before, to 20/10 vision.  Never have to wear glasses or contacts anymore. That was about 8 years ago and no problems since.
At our shooting range I went from low 90's (with glasses) to constantly shooting 99.7 and 99.8 every year.

Well got the compound stuff and wow in the first day after putting it on a couple times I can feel it burn just a tad. But it does seam to be helping so I read the directions and the said you can use a stone to help grind it down well I had one of those stones but desired to take a grinder to it well only a dremel but man I wish I took some pics I think they will be gone in no time

I have used a little grinder to keep a finger nail in check on a smashed up finger before!
