I havecone on my Holley but ain't never hooked one up before it has the two tabs on the side of it one goes to a ground what's the opted one go to. I know the oil temp switch has something to do with it but I don't know and don't want to burn something up

12V switched is all you need. Holley recommends running a new seperate wire for it, and the ground wire can be grounded to the carb to keep it neat.

Ok make sense. I was thinking the oil temporary had something to do with it but the Carb itself has a thermostat in it to open and close the choke. Didn't want to hook it up till I knew I wouldn't cause smoke and fire lol

cause smoke and fire
Smoke and fire are good things when talking about an engine. No smoke and fire, no run.
that's why we have coolant systems and exhausts.

It says the 12V wire should be fused. I spliced into my existing wire so it's fused at the box.

Check out the tail end of this video. The choke cap will feel warm after it's had power to it for a while too.
