Dash - metal substructure

Does the metal substructure, under the dashpad, unbolt and come out ?
1985 Chevy K-20 longstepside, 350,Turbo 400

no and yes. its also spot welded in place at the windshield seam and its bolted to the side of the cab. so you have to take the windshield out and drill out the spot welds

I had one that was all over the place, some right beside each other, but in general about every 1/2 - 1"
