New From Wa.
« on: October 22, 2010, 02:45:49 pm »
Hi all, Robert here gmc newb. After many years on working with non American stuff I'm finally back into some American made fun. I just picked up a 77 swb BBC GMC 2 weeks ago as a work in progress truck and cant wait to get it to where i want it. I'm currently in puyallup WA and am interested in the local meets and discussions. here is a little info on my truck.
Black primed 1977 SWB BBC
454
complete rebuild
30 over
all APR hard wear
forged crank
100.9cc closed chamber large oval port heads
heads were redone with all new valves, and hardened exhaust seats
hardened pushrods
Crane lifters, and Crane aluminum roller rockers
Crane Energizer 274H06 cam that is .513 lift int./exh
Pete jackson gear drive
MSD cap and rotor
Holley 750 D.P. with no choke horn
edelbrock performer RPM intake
high volume oil pump
hooker super comp headers
3inch duel super 44 flowmaster with pre Axel dumps
TH-400 trans with a new converter and stock stall
new high flow Radiator with dual e-fans
it has a 12 bolt rear end with unknown gears

for the most part the truck need allot of work , I'm peacing the interior back together as it was bare when i got it, body it pretty much rust free but need allot of attention as with alot of the little chrome features, just pulled out the old slider back window and put in a solid. Picked up a couple of good doors to install, replaced the steering column , basically parting the interior back together as it didn't have anything but a seat and a  steering wheel..
I also took off the  wheels it came with a  put on some wheels i got from a guy down the road,,, I like the wheel style but maybe in a bigger size, but i,ll wait till i drop her down a little bit first. So by next summer i hope to have all the body work done and new paint layed down. And that's about it. see you all around the forums.

ROBERT

Nice setup. That wheel gap is killing. Any videos of it idling?
