Battery ground

Wondering, what is the battery ground to the engine block?, in my truck it has it on the alternator bracket, is that the original spot? seems like a weak place to be. Is there another spot?

Yes that is the original spot.

I moved the battery ground to directly to the frame and added a braided ground strap from the block to the frame, as well as a cab to frame ground.

This would be the correct way. Connecting the ground to the alt bracket is OK, as the bracket is bolted to the engine. But the additional straps to the frame and body are important too.

There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.

Make sure to use the stainless grounding straps. Block to frame needs to be the heavy duty 1 inch wide, but the cab to frame can be smaller. Be sure to use the grounding star washers over painted surfaces.

The positive terminal gets a frame ground right? Mine looks like its been cut.

Neg*. There's a wire grounded to the frame that's been cut...what did it go to? Its right below the alternator.
