stranded blown ecu fuse
«

As I get in the truck from getting my title transfered I get all crank no start. Tracked it back to a blown ecu fuse. Stole the radio fuse, truck started, pop, trucks done.
Any quick pointers or location of ecu to track short? Trying to find it to get it home.

Thanks

Sorry, its not the ecu. It says ECM 1 and calls for a 10 amp fuse. Anyone know what this is?

That's the module in your distributor. If you have a screw driver and a parts store handy its a pretty easy fix.

Will give it a try. Otherwise I will be dragging it home with the Jeep. I see your in Tempe. I am as well. Broadway and Priest area, I will be bringing the Truck back from Hayden and McKelips.
One question. The truck has spark, but it does not have fuel. Are the injectors controlled by this module in the distributor?

I see how they are all connected. I also found some blown fuses that went back to a dying fuel pump. What a system. I did get it going last night. I dragged it home and went over the harness looking for warn spots. Nothing was obvious, but moving it around must have set it right as it is now running and driving just fine. There is a box of spare fuses living in the glove box for now!

I am right between Beck and Hardy closer to Broadway. Looks like we are neighbors!

I'm sure you've seen me around, green and white top lwb. Stands out in a crowd of most of the primer and oxidized square bodies running around

I had a similar issue when I put my first motor together and put it in my 86 ta years ago a wire touched the exhaust manifold and grounded out and kept blowing the fuses. It would start and run maybe a minuite or towo then die.
