i had the cab off my truck and turned upside down doing a ton of welding this summer. Well without thinking and going forward 100 miles an hour i left my headliner in the truck. burnt a ton of small holes and a few other marks in the top fabric. I have now taken it out now and want to replace the fabric. I think i want to do this myself, has anybody done it? how hard is it? where did you get the fabric? can you give me any step by step ways to do this. I should also say that this is still all intact , i havent done anything other than take it out of the truck. Do i pull all the foam off and start from the cardboard?

I recovered mine with new headliner material from Mac's Hardware. I peeled the old cloth off and used a plastic bristle brush to remove all of the loose foam. Then I sprayed the center of the backing piece in the center and put the new headliner over it so there was extra on all sides. When the center was stuck down I lifted up the outside edges and sprayed the back and the new material and stuck it together a little bit at a time, working towards the outside to avoid wrinkles. Then trim the edges and the holes for the visors with a razor blade. Use lots of adhesive, and use a straight pick or a scratch awl to line up the holes when you put it back together. The project cost about $20.

Ok i took all the fabric off, came off pretty good but there is a far amount of pcs still stuck to it. i tried pulling them off but they are a bugger to get off. anybody have any trick before i spend the next 3 hours pulling 1" pcs off.
