wires behind the dash
« on: November 17, 2010, 04:55:07 pm »
Ok i just took the dash out of my truck and on the passenager side behind the glove box, I have noticed that there is a bunch of wires that have been cut for some time I would guess. These wires seem to go to a a computer looking thing, this is right behind the glove box. Whatever it is it is about 2" think and maybe 10" long. wondering what this is? any ideas. there is about 8 wires that use to run to it. My guess iy hasn't been hooked up in years.

Sounds like the control box for the Electronic Spark Control (ESC), and somebody was wise enough to disable it, because it's garbage.
