Heyyooo from an owner of a 1985 c10 Scottsdale!
« on: December 01, 2010, 08:42:22 am »
Hello All,
I am a 16 y.o. who bought a project for $500. I joined this site to get tech help and to brag! Wait... I can brag right? XD
So more about the truck. It's a 1985 C10 Scottsdale with a 305. The only thing that I have done to it as it sits right now is the typical tune up and painted the rust white rims with a gloss black and polished the tired hub caps back to a pristine shine. I will post pics here when I find them. If you guys have any suggestions of things to do to my truck that be awesome! Soon I will be replacing the old rochester with a new Edelbrock 600cfm Carburetor economy performer. Has anyone else installed this on a 305? Is there a better place to post and ask?

Thanks for reading,
                 Tyler Ricci

Yea rebuild the q-jet. Also in my opinion Holley is a better carb than Edelbrock.

Welcome from Virginia, I have the Edelbrock 600cfm Performer on my truck and love it, the gas mileage is good as long as your foot isn't too heavy!!!
