A standard odometer in a 1984 only goes to 99,999 miles then starts back to zero so you could have 82,000 182,000 or 282,000.  As far as price you have what I would consider a desirable truck, what is going to hurt the resale is the standard transmission.  Personally I wouldn't buy an automatic.  BTW the tailgate is from a 1 ton dually.  My $.02

I thought my 84 had 150,000 miles on it till I ran the carfax and deduced that it was actually 250,000. I also questioned odometer fraud cause some idiot along the way put 97,000 in the computer instead of 197,000

if you need any flat bed ideas i just picked one up and i can take some more pics of it for you if you want me to. it has the gooseneck recessed, tool box. fuel covers in the sides and steel diamond plate, headache rack, etc. check out my build for pics

I found an ex-M-1008 military K-30 bed for his '79 K-30. After only a couple of months he opted for a flatbed on his truck as well. Since the military bed is almost perfect, and rust free, we deceided to store it for a different rig.
