Fold the metal out of the way and get the retaining nut out. You could reuse it after getting the broken bolt out, or just weld in a regular hex nut.

The retaining nut is loose.  But fused to the bolt.  Should I just pound it up through the bottom side?  Ive got vise grips down on the bolt and a box wrench going on a right angle to the vise grips and the thing wont budge.  The funny thing is...this is only one of four. :'(

Probably stuck in the mount itself too ToddN. I would drive it up thru and use a new hex nut like Blazin suggested.

The nut is wrapped in a metal cage. If you fold the metal retainers up and out of the way Like Blazin is saying, you should be able to pick it up out of the floor support. Get a hammer and screwdriver and pry the metal up, put your vice grips on the broken bolt and pull it straight up into the cab with you.

Thanx for helping me with the concept.  I had no idea that I had to fold back those two tabs (the cage) to pull that retaining nut up and out.  Well, theres one down.  Three to go!  Thanx again.  Those two tabs werent fun either by the way.  My knuckes look like I got into a bar fight. ;D

I'll  throw this in there just in case some other newbie is dealing with this job.  I measured from underneath the edge of the body to the rear cab bolt.  Then I went in the cab and went in the same distance and drilled a peep hole.  I then soaked the heck out of the retaining nut through the small hole with PB Blaster.  I'm gonna let it sit over night and see if that helps with the rear.  I'll put  in a small plug in the hole when I'm done.

Just thought I would throw this out there for you. I have had better luck getting those out with a breaker bar rather then an air wrench.

Yeah.   I havent put an impact wrench to it.  I'm using an old school tire iron (four way) with a three foot pipe extension.

As far as covering those holes back up I usually just rivet a patch over the holes. That way if you want to get inthere again you just drill out the rivits.

Well
I only had a couple hours to work on my truck today.  In that two hours I frigged around with ONE mount.  I think and I stress think, that the bolt is going to come out in one piece but I cant pull it out. I literally spent two hours trying differant tools to gain leverage  to pry it down.  It's just turning freely.  I even tried jacking the body about an inch and the bolt just rises with it.  I turn it, bang on it, pull down on it, pry it....just aint comeing down.  Any tips?

So I finally got my bolts out.  All four ended up breaking.  This is the cab kit I got.  My old ones were eo distorted that they are unrecognizable.  Could someone help me out with which ones go where?  Sorry to be a PIA with this but I have never done them before.  Thanx for anyones time. :)

The two on the back top row go with the two smaller ones on the left, They go under your floor. The four on the right go together under the back of the cab.
