Front bumper paint
« on: January 24, 2011, 05:33:42 am »
I have a '74 C10 and want to respray the front bumper. This is my first project and don't know too much, I will need a lot of advice.

Do I first have to sand the bumper to remove all the surface rust, then apply primer , and then the final coat?

Lastly can I use aerosol paint (can) you buy at hardware stores ? (I'm from South Africa)

I want to paint it white as per the original colour.

You should remove any rust first all the time, then sand it really good to get a good ad hension, primer, then paint if you want it too last and not have it flaking off.
