Hello from Arkansas
« on: January 26, 2011, 10:17:12 am »
Just wanted to say hi.  Been on here a few days now.  I have an 84 GMC High Sierra I am fixing to start on.  I bought the truck for 1000 dollars and it has been my daily driver for 3 years now, in those three years I added chrome/black rims, a pioneer cd player, dual exhaust, a new distributor, and a new fuel pump.  Thats all I have spent on the truck since it was bought other than oil, plugs, and filters.  The 305 that's in it is about done for so it's time to get started.  The build will go according to my tax return and my very small check after my wife and son get done!  Plans are:

350 sbc bored .30 over, mild cam, edelbrock carb and intake, msd coil, cap, rotor, chrome kit.

Has a factory 700R4 in it that I am going to get reworked and a 1800 stall

Has dual pipe with delta 40 series flowmasters now but I am going to add header

Will have shaved side markers, shaved mirrors with motorcycle mirrors added back on, shaved cargo light, stake pockets, taillights, molded in roll pan, shaved tailgate, phantom grill with 88-98 led euro turn signals, and maybe Cadillac taillights.

Eastwood's black cherry paint with Eastwood's tunnel ram gray strip down the side, black cherry on all the metal inside with gray tweed wrapping the dash and panels, gray seat with black inserts.  Mild sound system.  I will start a build thread under members projects, but it will be a slow thread since my time is limited with work and my 15 month old son.

I have previously owned a 77 Cheyenne, a 78 Scottsdale, a 76 K5 Blazer and a 86 silverado.

Yeah! I used to ride with my bicycle club, the triangle including the stretch between Scott and England.
When we could, we'd stop at Cotham's post-ride for a hubcab burger.
The club president also has an old Chev... about an '80 IIRC.
