Backspacing question

Im looking at the wheels i want ot order for my truck, I have the option to get a 2,3, or 4 inch backspace... What should i do?

     I am assuming by your user name and pick, your truck is a 1983 short box 2 wd.  Is there already a drop on your truck or are you planning on dropping it ?  All this info will make a difference when people on here will give you advice.  The best thing you can do is be specific as possible up front so you can get the best answers to your question.

Sorry, It is an 83 swb. I am going to do a 4 inch drop in the back and a 3 in the front

That was my next question. Will a 275/60/15 mount on a 15x7 wheel?
