1986 Chevy K10
« on: February 04, 2011, 09:19:37 pm »
Here are some pics of my new toy. It is my budget project (havent set the budget yet) Since it was finally nice I pulled it out of the garage to snap some pics so I figured I might as well post them here. I have a bad hesitation that I think is a vacuum leak but its still dang cold so I havent tried to trace it out...

Love your new toy.  8)
You need to find the hesitation before next week, they are calling for a snow storm here in Ohio, and what fun it would be to blast through the snow with that monster!!!!

I really like the stance of that truck and the two tone paint.

I like it! Now its time to replace the rest of the blue ovals with something classier, like bowties!   ;D

What size body lift is on it? I'm leaning toward a 2" in the future.

lol I was brought up on Fords... My grandfather owned a dealership for a while. although my dad had a 78 GMC 4x4 and thanks everybody... Ill have to measure it today for you but i think its about a 2 inch. the only thing I dont like about the body lift is the fact that the gas tank is visible.

well you will be glad to know that supposedly i/we am getting a 78 GMC Camper Special. 350 with the 4spd 4x4 but it is going to need completely restored. It was my fiancé's grandfathers who worked at GM and ordered the truck. I am excited to restore it but its going to take some time and money.

if the war department allows me to keep it I wil... I can make room in my garage for both of them and the other 3 that are currently in my garage... If I can I will put something in the house garage (neither truck fits)... But the older one would be a build for her cause she was the one who wanted it I just gladly said yes because this is my favorite style of chevy truck

the goal is that the GMC will become more of a show truck restoration and the chevy will be a fun toy for me to drive and hopefully find some 4x4 trails....
